rhythmic sound of pencil against paper, brushing away layers,
revealing what is inside the material surface, and then perhaps the
veil closing in again: this breathing of images taking their
form, as my own body breathes, in an echoing tempo . . . to draw is
to greet, befriend, and embody that which is being recorded, whether
it be twig or a frame of mind. |
